Dashboards
Lead product designer on the Events.com Dashboards
PROBLEM: Event organizers wanted an easy and customizable way to view their event’s statistics.
PROCESS: Conducted user interviews with our current event organizers to figure out what type of information they wanted to view when looking at their dashboards. Created clickable prototypes based off of user feedback. Tried to keep the information we already had available while changing the design to be easier to read, and adding new features that came up in the studies. Worked with the engineering team to divide up the new designs in to smaller stories to continuously put out new and improved features on the Dashboards pages.
SOLUTION: One thing we discovered was that multiple people in the organizer’s company were looking at the dashboards and wanted to view different statistics. We created the “Overview” page where the user can bookmark items on different Dashboard pages to show up on a customized page. This way they can get a quick snapshot of all of the information they want to view on one page. We also adding new statistics like “Promo Codes” and “User Information” that the organizers seemed to have a lot of use for.
